FREMS

FREMS is an innovation in the field of physical therapy that is based on “Frequency Modulation Neurostimulation” which consists of a Bio-active Neuromodulation system. The generated electrical impulses are biocompatible because they are modulated in frequency, amplitude and duration according to the biological tissues with which they interact, to produce a rapid and lasting resolution of the damage. It is proposed as a valid and innovative therapeutic approach for the treatment of pathologies and complications of the Peripheral Nervous System, of the Locomotor, Vascular and Tegumentar apparatus with therapeutic and analgesic efficacy

The benefits:

  • Pain reduction
  • Increased microcirculation activity
  • Interaction with neuromuscular transmission
  • Increased vasculature in the treated area
  • Decontracting activity

It is indicated for the treatment of diseases such as:

  • Sciatica
  • Cervical brachialgia
  • Pubalgie
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Joint diseases
  • Epicondylitis
  • Tendinopathies
  • Myofascial syndrome
  • Ulcers

And with specific programs for sports rehabilitation, it includes treatments aimed at:

  • Muscle injuries (Stretching, tearing, contractures)
  • Fibrosis
  • Bruises
  • Distortions

ISOKINETIC

Isokinetic rehabilitation is a method of fundamental importance for the optimal functional recovery of athletes and more generally for patients affected not only by traumatic but also degenerative pathologies.
It consists of a series of exercises that the rehabilitator, after a careful analysis and evaluative tests carried out with the program, is able to calibrate according to the individual’s need to treat and train the various articular muscle districts. Thanks to the experience and adjusting the operating parameters, the therapist ensures that the patient can work without suffering pain, allowing optimal recovery of strength and in short times.
Thanks to the visual biofedback, that is the immediate verification of the work on the monitor connected to the machine itself, the subject is stimulated to give the best of himself in the various sessions and the results and improvements during the various sessions occur in itinere.
It is indicated in the treatment of diseases such as:

  • Chondropathies
  • Patellofemoral syndrome
  • Meniscopathy
  • Outcomes of knee surgery (LCA reconstruction, fractures, prostheses, meniscectomies to name a few)
  • Patellar expressions

MAGNETOTHERAPY

Magnetotherapy is a technique that exploits the benefits of magnetic fields for healing and rehabilitative purposes. It is a form of physical therapy that uses electromagnetic waves of low frequency and intensity, such as not to cause an increase in body heat. Thanks to the action of the solenoid a magnetic field develops that completely surrounds the affected area, favoring the biochemical balance of the cells and the regeneration of the tissues.
It is indicated in a large number of diseases including:

  • Results of fractures to promote the formation of bone callus
  • Arthritis
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Osteoporosis
  • Slipped disc
  • Rheumatic diseases
  • Ulcers
  • Accelerate wound healing processes

It is contraindicated for pregnant women, children of developmental age, in case of infections, current or previous tumor diseases and for the pacemaker or metal prostheses.

Postural rehabilitation: Mézières method

The Mézières method was born in France from the intuition and the studies of the physiotherapist Francoise Mézières. The work focuses on research and restoration of the normal, harmonious and symmetrical shape that influences the physiological function of the whole body. Central point is the work on the kinetic chains that represent the main cause of dysmorphism and pain.
Thanks to the overall nature of this medicine it is possible to treat the majority of disorders, in particular it is indicated in people suffering from:

  • Column disorders such as cervicalgia, lumbago, sciatica, herniated disc, scoliosis, curved spine
  • Foot disorders including hallux valgus, flat foot, toes and fingers
  • Joint disorders including epicondylitis, epitrocleitis, gonalgia
  • Neuralgia
  • Paresis
  • Muscular pains
  • Pubalgie
  • ATM defenses
  • Headaches and vertigo when they are related to the cervical tract

It is also an excellent tool for the prevention of all pathologies of the spine, but also pathologies related to stiffness, loss of movement and pain such as arthrosis, and especially in people who for many hours assume bad postures at the workplace, or forced to pass many hours behind the wheel. It is also ideal for pregnant women suffering from back pain even in the most advanced months.
The session is individual and is based on the individual relationship with the therapist, who guides the patient to discover the countless possibilities for improvement and listening to his body proposing a dynamic work sewed according to the needs and specific characteristics of the person.

Kinesiology taping

Kinesiological taping refers to a particular application of a tape consisting of a layer of elastic cotton with a millimeter thickness and a layer of latex-free adhesive.

With the application of this simple tape it is possible to generate spaces between the deeper layers and the more superficial layers of the tissues, thus obtaining the acceleration of the cellular metabolism. Thanks to the increase in blood and lymphatic circulation in the area where it is applied, it favors the self-healing capacity of the human body.

By using different applications it is possible to:

  • Reduce pain in particularly painful areas
  • Reduce swelling due to muscle injury, trauma, changes in the lymphatic circulation
  • Improve joint function by reducing muscle tension
  • Improve posture by stimulating the receptors

It is particularly used in sports for:

  • Increase athletic performance during the races or the training phase,
  • Reduce muscular tension accumulated for intense efforts
  • Draining edema due to trauma or muscle injury

It does not present cotroindications, it is practical and not annoying.

Ultrasound therapy

Ultrasound therapy exploits ultrasounds, ie non-audible high-frequency acoustic vibrations that penetrate tissues, especially tendons, ligaments and muscles, accelerating the normal metabolism of cells, increasing local thermal energy by stimulating neuromuscular tone and circulation.

The main therapeutic effects due to mechanical and diathermic action help to reduce pain, have a fibrolytic action of fibrous or sclerotic tissues, trophic effect favoring the vasodilation and accumulation in the tissues of nutrients and oxygen that favor the repair of damages and the reduction of inflammation. They can also be used in water.

The main indications are:

  • Arthritis
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Periarthritis
  • Tendinitis
  • Enthesitis
  • Talalgia
  • Coxarthrosis
  • Rheumatism
  • Muscle and tendon calcifications

Electrotherapy

Electrotherapy includes the set of therapies that use electric current for therapeutic purposes.

The currents used can induce different effects: analgesic, vehicular drugs within our body, stimulate the activation of muscle cells.

Depending on the modulation of the electrical impulse we can distinguish:

  • Continuous current, called galvanization, which is used in Ionophoresis. Through the current the drug that is distributed inside the sponges is conveyed through the skin and is equivalent to an injection.

This modality is indicated for chronic (arthritis) or inflammatory (gonalgia, lombalgie) pathologies that foresee the use of a drug.

  • Alternating current, TENS, which stimulates pain fibers and reduces pain. It is particularly indicated in osteo-articular diseases in the acute phase.
  • Electrostimulation, Kotz current, which is used to strengthen muscle tone allowing greater recruitment (stimulation of the fibers) with greater tolerability on the part of the patient. It is used following fractures or periods of immobilization that result in the loss of muscle fibers or in the case of peripheral nerve denegeration, to allow the maintenance of muscle tone.

LASERIX PH 10

The LASERIX PH 10 is an innovative form of high-powered pulsed laser. Its particular characteristics make it effective in the treatment of numerous diseases with important results already from the first session using a very reduced time compared to other types of lasers.

Thanks to the numerous specific programs for the different anatomical districts, and to the frequencies that can be modulated based on the patient’s response, numerous diseases can be treated effectively, including:

  • Tendinitis
  • Enthesitis
  • Bursitis
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Metatarsalgia
  • Inflammation
  • Edema
  • Ache
  • Arthrotic processes
  • Fibrosis
  • Post-intervention pain and inflammation

The treatment is divided into different phases constituting a path that accompanies the patient to the best possible resolution of the problem:

A first antalgic phase where it is possible to drastically reduce localized pain, maintaining the effect for about 24/48 h.

A second anti-inflammatory phase where biochemical action is carried out, stimulating the inflammation cells by reducing the load by means of the photochemical and photothermal effect.

A third anabolic phase in which the cause can be treated.

With the specific antiedemigene programs the swelling and the edema located both at the muscular and intra-articular level are reduced.
